Cyber Security Certificate

THE CYBER SECURITY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IS INTENDED FOR NON-MATRICULATING STUDENTS

If MSOL students wish to earn this certificate, they must first contact the MSOL Office to confirm eligibility. The MSOL DIrector has sole discretion in allowing students to participate in this certificate program on a case-by-case basis–not all students/majors are eligible.  Please contact: for further consultation.

Program Description:
Vulnerabilities are abundant within the cyber world, as underlying computer, network, and information systems and associated architecture are often not protected adequately. This certificate program provides knowledge to engineers on spotting issues and designing solutions before potential damage becomes reality. Through this program, engineers will learn to architect, design, implement, and test systems that can defend, detect, and recover from cyber attacks.  Engineers will learn to build cyber security capabilities into the systems to increase their trustworthiness so that we can rely on both everyday systems and those we use for critical infrastructure.
