Maryland’s Higher Education Commission (MHEC) implemented a state law in 2012 requiring online degree programs that register students domiciled in Maryland to file an application for registration with the MHEC. UCLA is formally registered with MHEC to offer online education to Maryland students. Part of that registration requires that UCLA make public, and post on our own website the process by which Maryland students can file complaints about our institution: www.ombuds.ucla.edu.   In addition, should a Maryland student wish to file a complaint about UCLA’s program, they may contact:
