Students from Maryland

Maryland’s Higher Education Commission (MHEC) implemented a state law in 2012 requiring online degree programs that register students domiciled in Maryland to file an application for registration with the MHEC.  Here is a link to the law:  http://mhec.maryland.gov/institutions_training/Pages/acadaff/oos_online/oos_online_registration.aspx

UCLA is in the process of registering with the MHEC, and part of that registration requires that that our institution make public and post on our website the process by which Maryland students can make complaints about our institution: www.ombuds.ucla.edu.   In addition, UCLA is subject to investigation of complaints by the Office of the Attorney General or the Maryland Higher Education Commission.  Complaints should be directed to:
